DACH+HOLZ 2026. The hotspot for timber construction

Increasing demands in prefabrication, lack of skilled workers and cost pressure are currently shaping both the carpentry trade and industrial timber construction companies. At the DACH+HOLZ International trade fair in Cologne, WEINMANN, SCHULER Consulting and GRANIT will demonstrate how these challenges can be overcome with sophisticated machine and system concepts along the entire process chain — from beam processing and element production to material handling.

One focus of the trade fair stand (Hall 7, 121) is solutions for woodworking shops. With the WALLTEQ M-300 multifunction bridge, WEINMANN is particularly targeting carpentry businesses that want to increase their level of prefabrication. Equipped with the fastenerSwitch quick-changer, the system enables fast changing of the fastening materials and thus a high level of process reliability. Innovative units such as the façade shoe (NEW!) and the sealing tape applicator RAPICMASTER(NEW!), developed in cooperation with market partner pro clima, open up additional options for element prefabrication and façade assembly — both for woodworking shops and for the prefabricated house industry.

Another new product is the BUILDTEQ A-200 assembly table (NEW!), which has been designed as a modular all-rounder for manufacturing wall, roof, ceiling and gable elements. The automatic, space-saving turning of the elements directly on the spot is particularly noteworthy, as it not only reduces space requirements, but also significantly improves ergonomics in production. Numerous options allow a customer-specific adaptation to the existing production environment.

More than machine technology

The trade fair presentation is complemented by the software and consulting services offered by GranIT and SCHULER Consulting, which show how cost-effectiveness in modern timber construction can be approached holistically. Practical approaches to optimizing material use, processes and investments will be presented in a technical presentation on 02/26/2026 at 14:30 titled "Cost-effective timber construction — comprehensive understanding, optimization and management of cost factors." SCHULER Consulting has been firmly rooted in the timber industry as a whole for 70 years and works with companies of all sizes around the world. The experience they have gained from international projects is directly incorporated into concrete recommendations.
